Sammy is extremely cocky. He always wanted to be in the Games, and will kill anyone in his way.

Aftermath

Sammy tried to betray his ally, Teff Levigne by killing him during the feast. Sammy's district partner, Sarina Lordi killed him before he could, and both Teff and Sarina was probably happy that they killed an ally. They were also quite close to the end of the games and so, Sarina and Teff were probably happy to have one less career to fight. The other tributes in the arena were probably happy too, cause that meant one less career.

Sammy had the opportunity to be revived for the Vengeance Games, but didn’t receive enough votes from the Capitol citizens. He was burned to death with the other tributes that hadn’t made the cut to the Vengeance Games.
